Steve Jobs just announced at the 2007 World Wide Developers Conference that the traditionally Mac native web Browser “Safari” will be available on Windows.  Bill just cringed.

Safari on Windows

As a Mac user- this one is a no-brainer for me. However, for all you Windows users I highly suggest giving Safari a try. It’s worth it alone for the way it handles RSS feeds. I’ve played around a little with IE7 and to be totally honest- I’m not impressed. It has a fisher-price sort of look and still tends to render some sites totally inaccurately.

Try it out and I bet you’ll like it more than Internet Explorer. Or, at LEAST give your support to Firefox.

Man, this seems very similar to the browser wars back in the 90’s, doesn’t it?

Firefox for me! However, if Safari continues to be faster than IE7 and Firefox then I will give it a try. Firefox is free and I like that.

Looks like apple releaseed an update to safari for windows..apparently there were a few security issues (oops). But, try it out and let me know. Firefox is primo, though.
