The House

Well, I figured it was safe to talk about this now. We’re buying a townhouse in Alpharetta (yes, a suburb). We close on November 14.

3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathroom, and a gourmet kitchen…the perfect place for us. Follow the picture to flickr for notes and additional photos. We couldn’t be happier.

More to come!

Well, sounds like a cause for celebration to me! Good to hear you’ve moved out closer to my neck of the woods! Congrats…I actually kind of knew because I took a glance at some photos in Flickr a while back.

Thanks man! We’re excited..nervous, but excited. Any advice? Call me on November 15 (day after we close) to see if I’m still breathing.

Advice…Real-estate is a long term investment once again. Dogs tear up hardwood floors.

If it’s new construction then nitpick EVERYTHING while you can still have them fix it for free. We got everything from new sod, outdoor plants, new hardwood floors, screen doors etc…because we complained about how they built it. We hired an inspector to come out and write everything that needed to be fixed. We then handed that list to the builder.

All in all…”owning” your home is a pretty good investment. Not to mention you don’t have to deal with the hastles of appartment complex life. Let us know when y’all are moved in. We’ll come check it out.
